Job Description:
Scales multi-Cloud and account, hybrid environments to support a
diversity of engineering needs, using modern, scalable, and
resilient architectures. Performs Cloud native development and
deployment, using CI/CD, Data Lake, Containers, Serverless, and
Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Creates a developer-centric Cloud
ecosystem. Provides business solutions by developing complex or
multiple software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Designs and develops Cloud security and access management for
multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Supports and performs upgrades and validations of Kubernetes
platform. Develops a point of view on new and emerging trends to advance
solutions that result in efficiencies and shorter time to
market. Designs and implements systems and processes that resolve issues
encountered by development teams. Supports Cloud accounts and Kubernetes cluster
administration. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience building and supporting Cloud native platforms that
enable high availability and resiliency within a financial or
telecom services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience building and supporting Cloud native
platforms that enable high availability and resiliency within a
financial or telecom services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing enterprise
Cloud-based security solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing
Services -- EKS, EC2, and IAM; and developing custom cross account
IAM roles from Kubernetes pods to Amazon Web Services (AWS), S3,
RDS, and Elasticache services for application teams, using Python,
Terraform and Ansible. DE designing and developing efficient and scalable corporate
technology group applications written on AWS platform, using Amazon
Elastic Kubernetes service and Amazon Simple Storage Service;
providing Kubernetes Cluster security support, using DivvyCloud and
Datadog; monitoring, developing, quality assurance engineering, and
user acceptance testing production clusters and cluster upgrades,
using Jenkins, GIT, Cloudformation, Shell Scripting, Artifactory,
and Concourse; and identifying and administering improvements to
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for
migrations to AWS platform, using Jenkins, GIT, Cloudformation,
Shell Scripting, Artifactory, and Concourse. DE monitoring and maintaining the operational stability of
application services within AWS, Azure, Rancher, Cloud development,
and quality assurance production environments; creating custom
dashboards and metrics for EKS platforms to identify and remediate
issues using Datadog monitoring tool; and monitoring Kubernetes
cluster health across Kubernetes clusters to provide stability and
high availability for applications running in EKS production using
Datadog. DE collaborating with architecture teams on application
migration strategies to AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes; collaborating
with enterprise Cloud teams, and architecture and product teams to
enable the migration of on-premise Java, API, and Web applications
to Cloud by designing and developing self-service Infrastructure as
Code (GitOps) capabilities, using CloudFormation, Helm, Docker,
GIT, and Jenkins; reviewing operational readiness checklists for
applications migrating from production EKS; and coordinating with
developers on standardized production best practices and
