Job Description:

Builds frameworks to backup workspace content and data sets using Power BI Rest APIs and PBI cmdlets. Performs data analysis within an Agile environment using SPL on data sources. Automates Power BI platform related activities using scripting languages -- PowerShell, Python, and Shell. Builds Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) pipelines to migrate Power BI data sets, dashboards, and reports between workspaces, using Power BI Rest APIs and Power Platform. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams.

Defines and implements application level architecture.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

Advises senior management on technical strategy.

Mentors junior team members.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience designing and building analytics solutions for performing analytics and reporting within the financial services industry.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing and building analytics solutions for performing analytics and reporting within the financial services industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in the entire data life cycle -- performing data analysis (using advanced SQL), modeling (using multi-dimensional cubes), mapping, acquisition, transformation, and distribution (using Snowflake, NiFi and Microsoft Flows), impact analysis, reporting, visualization, and dashboard creation (using Power BI, Tableau, and OBIEE) -- within Managerial Finance, Corporate Accounting, Procurement, and Tax and Treasury domains.

DE administering and onboarding new users and projects, and overseeing users and permissions; connecting platforms and applications (Enterprise Analytics Platforms, using Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to data sources (Snowflake, Oracle, Netezza, PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases) using data gateways and drivers; performing data governance, and overseeing Encryption and Security for Enterprise Analytics Platforms, using Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE); and administering Azure Global Tenant and Azure Services for an Enterprise, using Azure Portal and Power Platform Admin Center.

DE building Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using PowerShell Scripting, Rest API, Python scripting, Power Platform, and DevOps tools -- Git, Stash, Jenkins, Udeploy, and Artifactory; building central dashboards in Power BI to manage/monitor Gateway clusters using Power Platform; and building frameworks to collect and analyze Power BI audit and error logs, usage and capacity monitoring, and network traffic from Enterprise level sources, using Powershell, NiFi, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Snowflake.

DE building large datasets and complex data models in Power BI by connecting to Snowflake through Direct Query; performing performance tuning and query optimization, using DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Vertipaq Analyzer, and ALM Toolkit; building complex logic and transformations in Power BI, using DAX Expressions and M-Query Language; and designing and building data warehouses on Cloud platforms using Snowflake.
