Job Description:
Delivers world-class, ultra-low latency, high throughput,
multi-product, international trading systems. Crafts, builds, and
deploys applications in Linux environment using Continuous
Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) tools. Develops
applications, using Java and Q programming language. Provides
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience developing Java based applications, using Java and Q
programming language. Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience developing Java based applications,
using Java and Q programming language. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing analysis, design,
development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of
enterprise applications using Java technologies and low latency
messaging Ultra Messaging (UM) and Tibco Rendezvous. DE building Java based applications according to Agile
methodologies, using Eclipse, Spring tool suite (STS), and
in-memory databases -- KDB database; and building electronic
trading applications in Linux environments. DE implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
(CI/CD) using DevOps tools -- Bitbucket, Jenkins, Udeploy, and
Veracode; and performing release activities -- coordinating Scope
(using JIRA) and change management (using ServiceNow), and
preparing release/install plans, and deployments to production
(using Udeploy). DE creating and maintaining application release management using
CI/CD processes; providing support to applications after release;
analyzing and resolving end user bugs by debugging code using
Eclipse; and analyzing error logs to locate the origin of
