Job Description:
*Multiple Positions Available* Collaborates with architects to create applications that are
extensive, scalable, and high performing in Amazon Web Services
(AWS) services -- S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, SSO, VPS, RDS with Oracle,
MariaDB, and Datadog. Supports new development work for
applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
(CI/CD) tools -- BigBucket, Jenkins, UDeploy, Concourse, EKS, and
Docker. Writes JUnit and integration test cases and performs code
reviews to maintain code quality. Uses business knowledge to
translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business
solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications
and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends
changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and
strategies to development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied
Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered
or five (5) years of experience developing 12 factor compliant,
Cloud ready Java and Spring Boot applications in a financial
services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience developing 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready Java and
Spring Boot applications in a financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing 12-factor compliant,
Cloud ready Java, Spring, and relational database applications
using Spring Boot microservices in a financial or analytical
services environment; and hosting services to public Cloud (Amazon
Web Services (AWS), using EKS and Docker. DE building Web applications, using Java EE, Tomcat, Spring
framework, JSON-RPC messaging interface, and complex,
multi-threaded, and real time algorithms. DE developing REST Web services to support OAuth based
authentication (according to security standards), and integrating
them with client User Interfaces (UIs) using Angular JS; automating
the testing of Web services and UIs, using Fitness and Selenium
frameworks applications; performing GUI design, using HTML5, CSS,
JQuery, Javascript, and Maven. DE participating in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) --
analyzing, designing, implementing, and performing version control,
automation, disaster recovery, and post-installation validation
using Jenkins and UDeploy -- according to Agile methodologies and
