Job Description:
Position Description: Builds and maintains pipelines by implementing modern Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices with tools --
Jenkins and Concourse. Develops and maintains structured
application modules and associated documentation to meet design
specifications. Implements DevOps tasks using container-based
runtimes and orchestration -- Docker and Kubernetes. Uses business
knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and
recommends changes in project development policies, procedures,
standards, and strategies to development experts and
management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
architecting and developing digital business systems with
micro-services using Cloud-native technologies in a financial
services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience architecting and developing
digital business systems with micro-services using Cloud-native
technologies in a financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) building, deploying, and running
secure Cloud-native applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
core services -- EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API gateway; building,
deploying, and running Cloud container platforms, using Docker and
ECS; building scalable and secure systems by providing role-based
access, using Identity Access Management (AWS-IAM); performing
configuration management using Cloud Formation; and building log
aggregating dashboards for monitoring and alerts, using AWS
CloudWatch, Splunk, and Datadog. DE performing full stack engineering -- designing, developing,
and testing highly scaled, secure Web applications in Java, C#,
Python, and JavaScript using IDE toolset (Visual Studio);
performing distributed Object-Oriented design using Microservices
design patterns; performing data storage and retrieval in databases
-- MongoDB, Oracle SQL, and PLSQL; publishing and integrating Web
services (GraphQL and RESTful) with API documentation created using
Swagger; and performing responsive Web MVC design and software
development using JavaScript MVC frameworks -- Vue.js, and
Angular.js. DE integrating and automating testing frameworks for integration
and functional testing of applications before deployment, using
Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, and Selenium frameworks; performing
unit testing with Test-Driven Development (TDD), using Mocha, Chai,
and Sinon libraries; and performance testing applications by
mocking APIs using Parasoft virtualize and integrating Veracode and
Sonar to execute static scan application packages to reduce code
complexity. DE performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
(CI/CD) in UNIX and Linux Virtual environments, using Docker,
Maven, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy; performing team lead
integrator tasks, configuration management, and branch merging
using version control software -- Git and Bitbucket; and
participating in Agile SCRUM ceremonies -- writing, sizing and
