Job Description:
Position Description: Produces high-quality, testable code for deploying investment
management software applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Delivers software using Agile development practices and middleware
Java stack, Spring framework, Oracle, Web Containers, and messaging
technologies -- EMS and KAFKA. Deploys test automation frameworks
(JUNIT, Cucumber/FITNESS, and Karate) that support testing (unit,
component, integration, and system) executed through Continuous
Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Provides
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing Java middle-tier development in an enterprise
application development environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience performing Java middle-tier development
in an enterprise application development environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing Java
RESTful Web services for enterprise applications within UNIX and
Windows environments, using Spring Boot, Spring, J2EE frameworks,
and JMS Messaging services. DE querying Oracle databases to analyze data using SQL, PL/SQL,
and Unix scripts; and developing multi-tier enterprise applications
using design patterns, Micro Services, and Junit testing
frameworks. DE developing enterprise applications in distributed
environments, using Java/J2EE and ORM frameworks, within an Oracle
environment. DE developing full stack Java-based multi-tier architectures,
using Java, J2EE technologies, Spring Tool Suite, SQL Developer,
