Job Description:
Position Description: Develops platforms and applications using DB2/SQL, COBOL, CICS,
and VSAM. Improves and builds Web Services and Application Program
Interfaces (APIs). Delivers new and improves existing software
capabilities to migrate functionalities from mainframe to Oracle
distributed environment. Provides business solutions by developing
complex or multiple software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied
Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience developing mainframe and Web-based
projects for retail and institutional clients within brokerage,
banking, and financial wealth management advisory services
environments. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year
of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience
developing mainframe and Web-based projects for retail and
institutional clients within brokerage, banking, and financial
wealth management advisory services environments. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing, implementing,
monitoring, maintaining, and providing production support for .NET,
SOAP, and REST Web Services within a mainframe environment using
COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, and WSDL. DE analyzing end-to-end release management processes throughout
the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to internal
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) within Waterfall and Agile
environments using JIRA, Bit Bucket, and IBM Remedy. DE applying architectural improvements to establish design and
integration solutions using Refactoring, Microservices
Architecture, and DevOps engineering best practices; performing DB2
database migration to MongoDB/SQL server; applying technical
feasibility solutions for new functional designs; providing
performance improvement options for technical objects using BMC
Apptune; and writing DB2/SQL stored procedures to interact with
RDBMS databases using IBM Data Studio. DE analyzing and designing data flows for mainframe reverse
engineering and legacy modernization using IBM RDz and Microsoft
Visio; designing innovative business solutions to support money
movement objectives using Microsoft Visio; and designing innovative
business solutions to support acquisition and conversion projects
in legacy applications within the financial services industry using
