Job Description:
Position Description: Automates pipelines using Continuous Integration and Continuous
Delivery (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins, Stash, and Git. Performs unit
testing, using Junit and Jasmine. Translates application
storyboards and use cases into functional applications. Uses
business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional
initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or
multiple software applications and conducting studies of
alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
performing responsive Web design and software development of
brokerage applications in a financial services environment using
Object-Oriented (OO) concepts. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience performing responsive Web design
and software development of brokerage applications in a financial
services environment using Object-Oriented (OO) concepts. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) collaborating with onshore and
offshore business and technology partners in a cross functional
agile organization -- product and project management, analysts,
quality assurance, software engineers, and architects -- to design
customer facing applications and deliver financial services
solutions following Agile methodologies for brokerage systems
serving Registered Investment Advisors, Registered Representatives,
and Investors. DE performing responsive Web MVC design and software development
of brokerage applications; performing account opening and transfer
of assets using client-side technologies -- HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap,
Angular, and Jasmine; and developing financial services solutions,
using server-side technologies (Java, REST, C# 4.5, Springboot,
Event-Driven Notifications via MQ, and KAFKA) and IDEs (Eclipse,
Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Code). DE building Web applications using JavaScript frameworks --
AngularJS and HTML5; and developing Sematic HTML/HTML5 UIs --
defining formatting rules and responsive designs --according to
Bootstrap frameworks, using CSS and SCSS. DE designing and deploying Web applications and Application
Programming Interfaces (API) on a Kubernetes Cloud Platform;
designing Cloud ready applications using 12-factor design, Docker
containers, and API microservices; deploying front-end Web
applications, using UDeploy and a Concourse Code Pipeline; and
identifying and providing solutions for performance bottle necks,
