Job Description:
Position Description: Identifies, designs, and implements reports and dashboards to
assist business users in their operational and financial reporting,
using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Tableau. Designs,
builds, and tests production releases for SQL Server Integration
Services (SSIS) and Tibco Data Virtualization (TDV). Mines data in
data warehouses and data-marts, using SQL reporting in Oracle and
MS SQL. Builds and maintains dashboards and reports, using Oracle
Business Intelligence and Tableau. Primary Responsibilities: Leads and conducts business analyses to formulate and make
recommendations within an Agile Scrum environment. Communicates with external partners to ensure teams are building
the proper solutions to meet customer needs. Translates complex customer needs into Agile stories with
measurable acceptance criteria. Writes drafts of epics and stories to seed the backlog to begin
the refinement process. Participates in Agile ceremonies -- daily standups, sprint
planning meetings, demos, and retrospectives. Inspects the progress at the end of sprints with the authority
to accept or reject work performed. Mitigates impediments that may impact successful team completion
of release and sprint goals. Develops, documents, and revises system design, test procedures,
and quality standards. Consults with management to ensure agreement on system
principles. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics,
Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of
experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
performing business analysis using data analytics in a financial
services and products environment according to Agile
methodologies. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information
Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three
(3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing business analysis using data analytics in a
financial services and products environment according to Agile
methodologies. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) creating and analyzing business data
models using data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI)
processes and tools -- Oracle Business Intelligence and Tableau --
to define data movement across technological systems and to analyze
business process integration within a Service Oriented Architecture
(SOA); analyzing complex requirements through use case, conceptual
class, and sequence diagrams; developing user stories using JIRA;
and developing business use case, requirement, and functional
specification documents, user interface guides, and release
notes. DE performing relational and dimensional data modeling and
analysis of datasets for cross functional teams, using SQL Server
Management Studio, Erwin Data Modeler, and Oracle SQL developer;
mentoring junior data analysts or developers to extract data and
develop reports, using SSIS, SSRS, Qlikview, Alteryx, and Tableau;
and translating business requirements into technical designs
through business and functional requirement documents in a
fast-paced Agile delivery model, using Visio and Microsoft (MS)
Word. DE performing dimensional data modeling using relational
database management systems -- Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, and
MySQL; performing performance tuning of data models for faster data
reloads in Qlik and Tableau; and creating MS certified
implementation data models and reports, using MS SQL Server. DE writing complex SQL queries to debug data issues, create
reports, and query databases; and using business objects to
