Pavilion, with 56 ORs, perform 2000+ cases a month includingStealth
Navigated Spine Surgeries, Brain Lab Navigated Brain Surgeries;
RobotXI, Robot SP; Living Liver Transplants, Complex Endovascular
Procedures,Minimally Invasive Aortic Valve Replacement,
Reconstructive Cancer Procedures,and Complex Microvascular
procedures. As an employee of UTSouthwestern s Surgical Services

opportunities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One to three years or greater Perioperative RN experience.
Current Texas RN license or Compact State license with multistate
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
CNOR & BSN preferred, not required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
Able to serve as a professional and technical subject matter person
in 4-5surgical specialties. Able to circulate as needed inall
surgical specialties. Call is required.
Able to operate basic/standard pieces of OR equipment.
Work requires use of considerable judgment in application of
procedures,nursing assessment techniques, practices and policies to
work problems,organization, and administration of hospital
Work requires ability to maintain current customer service,
nursing, andtechnical skills by attending training programs and
seminars to continue levelof competency and ensure compliance with
departmental policies and procedures.
Work requires ability to complete most assignments with

Work requires proficiency in the use of computer technology.

Work requires telephone contact with patients, referring

Southwestern, vendors, and thirdparty payees.
Work requires constant walking, standing, bending, turning, and
stooping.Pushing and pulling heavy objects such as patient beds.
Must be able tohelp lift and turn patients. WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is primarily performed in a hospital unit/environment. The
incumbentmay be exposed to body fluids and infectious diseases.
Passpre-employment physical exam including colorblind testing. This
