Job Description:
Job DescriptionSOC Telemed (SOC) is the leading national
provider of acute telemedicine technology and solutions to
hospitals, health systems, post-acute providers, physician
networks, and value-based care organizations since 2004.The
Clinical Operations Analyst will report to the Director of
Analytics and is responsible for clinical data analytics and
visualization. This individual will focus on developing dashboards,
reports, and other data visualization methods. The Clinical
Operations Analyst must understand healthcare consult data to
analyze the business needs and build robust dashboards/reports for
external clients and internal users. The individual should have the
ability to work from beginning to end of a project and work with
other members of the same team as well as other teams in the
organization.Essential Functions
- Provide training to internal employees (Client Success Team,
Implementation team, etc.) and external clients (Facilities and
physicians) on existing reports.
- Manage ad-hoc external requests and generate external client
reports
- Ensure clinical quality and reporting accuracy by validating
reports for billing and clinical metrics
- Transform large amount of data accurately and efficiently
through ETL process for different reporting requirements (different
levels of aggregating and data cleaning)
- Ability to work independently to resolve data integrity and
integration issues with various team members across various
departments
- Work in coordination with the Analytics Director to communicate
with other teams to gather data for board meetings, earning calls
and quarterly reporting
- Perform periodic and ad-hoc analyses that support operation,
analytics, and finance. Working directly with the
operation/scheduling, sales, and implementation teams
- Assist with report development and additional requests as
neededUnderstand levers to the physician supply requirements and
provide capacity planning to optimize supply and demand equation
while supporting excellent patient careDevelop and report robust
key performance indicators with the Analytics Director that drive
business growth including sales pipeline opportunities, workforce
productivity and customer profitabilityTranslate and articulate
analytical results with common sense approach to non-technical
business audience including executive management, clinical staff,
and external clientsRequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
and vice versa with strong communication skills
- Programming Language (Python or R) that focuses on ETL for
large amount of data
- SQL (complex joins, aggregating functions, partitions,
variables, and stored procedures with parameters)
- Excel (pivot table, vlookup)
- Ability to design and mock-up dashboards for future projects
- Tableau (parameters, calculated fields, level of detail
calculations). Prefer candidates with TabPy analytics extension
knowledgeEducation/Experience
- Bachelors Degrees in the field of Statistics, Computer Science,
Math, Finance or Economics or similar with 2-3 years of work
experience
- Hands on experience with data warehouse/business intelligence
reporting environment
- Prior experience analyzing data sets with healthcare and
