MedCare Staffing is seeking a Hemodialysis Nurse for a position North of Dallas. This hospital is a 796-bed tertiary care center and is recognized for its state-of-the-art medical facilities and leading organ transplant program. The hospitals robotic surgery staff are pioneers in performing minimally invasive surgery, which reduces pain, blood loss, and scarring, while also shortening the recovery period for patients. The facility also specializes in rehabilitation, heart and vascular care, and women's services, among other services. This facility also detects and treats all kinds of cancer while providing a calming and secure environment for its patients and respective family members. Shift: Full Time-Days (Rotating Weekends) The Hemodialysis RN will plan, evaluate, coordinate and organize the plan of care. This plan will fall within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act and will include individualized, holistic, supportive and safe care for the adult and geriatric patient population requiring hemodialysis. Education: BSN Required Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in Critical Care in an acute care hospital within the last 3 years. Previous experience working with Hemodialysis patients. Experience with acute care in the past 5 years. Licensure and Certification: Completed AHA BLS and ACLS Provider Course within 12 months of employment, required. CCRN preferred Current license by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of Texas. Nurse Details: This is a Hemodialysis Unit BSN Required 1 year of Recent Acute Care Hemodialysis experience Bed Count: 10 Procedural area for inpatient dialysis, also do dialysis for ICU patients Average Patient Ratios: 2-1 in the dialysis unit 1-1 in ICU Average # Patient's per Month: 10-16/Day If interested and qualified please contact Erica at erica@medcarestaffing.com
