passion.Primary PurposeResponsible for supporting the BioTel
Clinical Practice Program by assisting in program
design,implementation, and evaluation of program
initiatives.--Education--- Must be a graduate of an EMT-Paramedic
program.--Experience--- Two (2) years of experience as a Paramedic;
prefer experience in a BioTel affiliated agency.--Equivalent
Education and/or Experience--- Must have an equivalent combination
of education and experience to substitute for both theeducation and
the experience
requirements.--Certification/Registration/Licensure--- Must have
current certification/license as a Texas Department of State Health
Services Paramedic.--- Must have current healthcare provider CPR
course completion card from one of the following:--- American Heart
Association--- American Red Cross Rescuer--- Military Training
Network--Skills or Special Abilities--- Requires professional
demeanor, good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and
writtenskills, and the ability to work with individuals from
diverse backgrounds.--- Must be able to employ effective
problem-solving and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
thatcan be used to develop positive, cooperative working
relationships with community healthcareprofessionals.--- Must be
able to demonstrate patient-centered/patient-related behaviors.---
Advanced knowledge of computer technology to access data, generate
reports, maintain records, andcommunicate with others.--- Strong
knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.---
Must be organized and creative in the educational process for both
individual and large group classes.--Responsibilities1. Implements,
monitors, evaluates, and reports on details regarding the outreach
education programs.2. Identifying and/or developing instructional
materials needed to teach the program competenciesincluding the
development of course syllabi that outline clear and appropriate
student learningoutcomes and expectations that reflect program
competencies.3. Serves as a clinical role model and educational
resource to ensure high-quality, effective patientservices.4.
Evaluates preceptors for appropriate clinical levels5. Educates
individuals regarding research in BioTel, assists with research
implementation, and tracksresearch projects to provide updates
regarding trends, needs, and expectations. Educates
agencyindividuals regarding research protocols and documentation
needs.6. Collaborates with EMS agencies and management staff to
develop, implement and evaluate qualityindicators such as case
reviews. Incorporates relevant studies and findings into department
practice.Coordinate's performance improvement issue resolution.7.
Maintains a database for all BioTel Clinical Practice educational
and outreach initiatives8. Identifies ways to improve work
processes and improve customer satisfaction for patient
education.Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements and
monitors results as appropriate in support ofthe overall goals of
the department and Parkland.--Job Accountabilities1. Identifies

developments, advancements, and trends in the field by
attendingseminars/workshops, reading professional journals,

maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained
intocurrent work practices.3. Maintains knowledge of applicable
rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impactthe
area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote
adherence with applicablelaws, accreditation agency requirements,
and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeksadvice and
guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.Parkland Health
