RN - Trauma Services ManagerShift: Full-Time Monday-Friday day

ABOUT THE JOB:
Summary:
Provides leadership and oversight for the Trauma program and the
Trauma Coordinators within the Trauma Department. Provides
guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members. In collaboration
with the Senior Director oversees the review and analysis of
patient quality and safety events. Develops systems for monitoring
and the analysis of patient outcomes. Works with a
multidisciplinary team to identify opportunities to improve trauma
patient outcomes, through the development of strategies that
support the Trauma Performance Improvement Program and in alignment
with criteria established for Trauma Centers by the American
College of Surgeons and the Texas Department of State Health
Services.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for collection, preparation, and analysis for Trauma
Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) data, through the American
College of Surgeons (ACS).
* Works with the multidisciplinary team to develop quality related
projects and ensures timely action planning and loop closure on
identified events involving the trauma patient population is
completed and documented.
* Communicates with internal and external customers in relation to
trauma patient quality of care and follow up.
* Participates in development of clinical practice
guidelines/protocols/pathways
* Collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to facilitate
the development, implementation, and progressive growth of quality
trauma care within the hospital system.
* Ensures daily review of quality related issues that involve
clinical care or systems that impact the trauma patient across the
system.
Qualifications
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
Education: BSN
License: TX RN License
Certification: BLS, CRP,TNCC provider/instructor within 6-8 months
of hire Required, ENPC provider/instructor 1 year required
