We are assembling a team of experienced industry professionals to
help build AEG into the best place to work and ensure that each
patient of the practices under management has an outstanding
patient experience.Overall ResponsibilityIdentify opportunities to
elevate the care provided to patients within AEG managed practices.
Develop and implement clinical protocols to raise the overall scope
of practice within AEG locations. Partner with the Director of
Professional Development and the Learning and Development team to
create educational content on clinical protocols and related coding
regulations for AEG Optometrists. Function as project manager for
AEG clinical pilots. Manage multiple AEG clinical studies.Learns
best practices from current AEG doctors and incorporates these
practices throughout the organizationIdentifies additional
opportunities to advance clinical care throughout AEGDevelops
scalable processes to expand new treatment and management
optionsCollaborates with AEG doctors and industry experts to create
treatment and management protocols for ocular and systemic
conditionsMakes recommendations regarding the appropriate equipment
needs, including selecting vendors, to successfully implement
protocolsPartners with the Director of Professional Development to
develop educational content and determine appropriate coding
standards for clinical protocolsIdentifies SMEs to aid in the
creation of continuing education to support clinical
protocolsManages the relationship between AEG and clinical study
sponsorsIdentifies new clinical study opportunities, including new
AEG clinical study sitesPartners with our clinical study
coordinators to ensure accurate payment to AEG our principal
investigatorsImplements policies and guidelines for ODs, as
established by the Company. As needed, make recommendations for
policy revisions to CMOQualificationsDoctor of Optometry is
recommendedIn-depth knowledge of current optometric theory and
technology is requiredKnowledge of state optometric
regulationsComprehensive knowledge of office operations, processes
and business implicationsStrong influencing and negotiating
skillsAble to lead through influence and partnershipsExcellent
verbal, presentation, and written communication skillsTeam building
and management skillsExcellent coaching and development
skillsProblem solving abilityOrganization skillsExperience7-10
years of at least one of the following:Ownership/operation of an
optometric practice with demonstrable successMulti-unit
responsibility for physician, optometric practice, or retail
managementFranchising, subleasing or contracting responsibility for
an optical company, ophthalmology group, practice management
company or health care/ ophthalmic goods and services franchisor,
or similar experienceKey Characteristics:Bias-For-Action /
