Job Description:

utilizing technology, we connect our providers and care team with
school nurses to diagnose and treat students and staff for both
acute illness and well care. We are on the hunt for sharp and
innovative Psychiatrists (MD/DO) who share our core values:

our SchoolMed Team to help serve our districts during the school
year during the school year through our in school telehealth
platform. This position is intended to be on an as-needed basis
when our PMHNP is unavailable or requires assistance. You will
assume independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis
and the initiation of treatment in age-appropriate care protocols.A
successful candidate in this role should expect variance in the
hours requirement until the mental health program ramps up in the
coming year. The need will greatly be dependent upon the types of
clinical scenarios that our PMHNP will need additional guidance on
from an MD. A reasonable expectation for the amount of hours needed
each month could be as little as one hour monthly or exceed 4 hours
monthly. As the demand for our mental health offering decreases,
the Company will communicate the need to pivot hours requirements
to ensure a mutually beneficial arrangement by both
parties.Position Highlights:100% outpatient psychiatry need.
Patients are cared for via telemedicine all over Texas.Pediatric
psychiatry experience required.Monday-Friday (7a-6p) work schedule,
no weekends! Licensed Psychiatrist in the state of Texas Board
Certification required.Your CV will stand out if:You are a
bilingual Spanish/English speaker.You are amenable to a very
flexible position.You are an experienced Psychiatrist with
pediatric and adolescent experience.You are interested in
participating in SchoolMed Telemedicine.You have dual licensure to
practice in Texas and Florida.Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessment, diagnosis, and the initiation of treatment for partner
school district students.Accurately and completely document in
EMR.Timely submission of required documents for reportable diseases
or concerns with child endangerment or welfare.Maintain competency
in in all electronic SchoolMed telehealth systems.Other duties and
needed certifications as assigned.Knowledge of pediatric assessment
and treatment; 2 years' experience as a Psychiatrist
required.Current, valid, unencumbered license as a Physician with
the Texas Medical Board and ability to obtain licensure in other
states.Active Certification - By national certifying bodies
recognized by the Texas Medical Board.Fluent in both English and
Spanish preferred but not required.Customer service
focus.Experience in telemedicine highly preferred but not
required.Texas or Florida state residency, out-of-state candidates
