We are looking for a dedicated RN Emergency Room like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and Qualifications* This is a Full Time Night shift position, 6pm-6am with rotating weekends * Under the supervision of the nurse manager, the registered nurse provides holistic, individualized care in response to emergent, identified needs. Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ENA standards in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. Our Emergency Room Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. Our 37 bed ER has the expertise to diagnose and treat severe injuries and illnesses. As an ER RN, you will work in a fast-paced setting with patients requiring urgent treatment due to a life-threatening medical condition, illness or injury as well as patients with less serious conditions. We are a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Stroke Rehabilitation Center. We are also a leading inpatient behavioral health provider in Collin County and receive a high volume of behavioral health patients through the ER. What You Will Do In This Role:
    • You will quickly access and prioritize incoming patients.
    • You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients.
    • You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
    • You will provide patient education / follow-up care instructions and make necessary referrals.What qualifications you will need:
      • Current TX RN License or compact state license required
      • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
      • Minimum of 1 year RN experience in ER required
      • BLS certification required at time of hire
      • ACLS certification required at time of hire
      • PALS certification required within 90 days
      • ENPC certification preferred within 12 months
      • SAMA or CPI De-escalation training required within 12 months
