Expand your career by working closely with a successful group of hospitalists evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of patients.Position Details-- Preform history and physical exams on new and established patients.-- Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.-- Communicate with patients and family members concerning health related issues.-- Provide counseling and instructions to patients regarding health related issues.-- Document using EMR system.-- Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.Requirments Needed To Apply-- Enjoy working a 2pm-11pm shift-- Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgement and decision making-- Texas licensed Physician Assistant with a master's degree-- Acute Care Certification Required2 Years Of NP Experience In ICU/CVICU RequiredThe Nurse Practitioner ("NP") Must be a graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program and have a current RN license for the State of Texas.Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.The NP will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.The NP's duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only
