Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/04/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR ICU/SICU Job Details: • Work day shifts in the SICU (16-bed unit) • 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week • Patient ratio approximately 1:2 with assignments according to acuity and skills • 2 years of ICU experience required • Must have active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted) • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • CCRN certification preferred • Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocol preferred • Meditech documentation system experience preferred • Work with all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors • Perform central line placements, bedside procedures like thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures • Care for surgical population, especially oncology patients • Flexible scheduling with one month advance notice • Floating as needed based on hospital requirements • Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview • Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required, no artificial nails, neat and clean appearance, tattoos covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited Facility: This major healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced surgical and critical care services.
