Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/04/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Bone Marrow Job Details: • Work in a 40-bed Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit with 20 beds on each floor • Target patient ratio of 1:3, may stretch to 1:4 depending on staffing • Rotating weekend schedule required • Travelers float first according to facility floating policy • Must have oncology experience and chemo certification • Oncology & PCU level of care experience required • BMT experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS chemo certification • Ability to read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips preferred • Competent to administer chemotherapy • Excellent assessment skills required • Work with bedside monitors mounted on walls and bedside computers • Lift assist devices available • Documentation system: Meditech • Perform infrequent bone marrow biopsies • Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, safety rounds, manage team up, and no pass zone • Dress code: Royal blue scrubs • Tuesday start dates available Facility: This healthcare facility features a specialized Bone Marrow Transplant unit that has earned five-time accreditation by FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy). The facility performs both autologous and allogeneic transplants, including related, unrelated, haplo-match and mismatch donors, as well as CAR-T therapies. The unit is known for awesome teamwork and being very welcoming to float and contract employees. Unit support includes Health Unit Coordinators Monday through Friday 7AM-3PM and 2 PCTs during AM shift with 1 PCT during PM shift.
