Job Description Job Description The Intake Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the initial client engagement process, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake experience. This position is responsible for gathering and verifying essential client information, coordinating communication between clients and internal teams, and facilitating the timely processing of new cases or service requests. The Intake Coordinator acts as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate records to support operational workflows. By effectively managing intake procedures, this role contributes to improved client satisfaction and streamlined organizational processes. Ultimately, the Intake Coordinator supports the organization’s mission by ensuring that all new client interactions are handled professionally and efficiently from the outset. As a Intake Referral Coordinator, you will: Receives and appropriately documents new referrals in a timely manner. Verifies each patient’s payor source and maintains and tracks insurance authorizations and initial certifications. Participates in coordinating care with Nursing Supervisors, patients, and the interdisciplinary group. Provides effective communication to patients, staff members, other health care professionals and referral sources. Responds to Agency and patient needs in a professional and creative manner. Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency. Participates in Agency-sponsored in-service training. Participates in the Agency’s QAPI program. Promotes the Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
