Patient Volume/Census: 21,000 annual ED visits Case Mix: Emergency,
OB, Surgery, Med/Surg FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in
Department: 14 ED beds Trauma Level: Level IV Trauma Center EMR
System: MedHost Support Staff Available: 11-hour APP coverage
(10a10p) Reason for Coverage: Supplemental PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel,
Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
General emergency medicine procedures Ambulatory, OB, Surgery,
Med/Surg cases JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Texas license and
DEA required Board: BC in EM, FP, or IM; if FP/IM, 2,000 hours of
ED experience required DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS,
BLS, PALS, Trauma CME (9 hours annually) Experience: 2 years EM
experience for NP/PA; 2,000 hours for non-EM physicians Other
Qualifications: Clean file required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide 12-hour clinical emergency coverage on flexible schedule
Coordinate care with 11-hour APP shift coverage Manage ED patients
across general emergency, OB, and surgical cases Accept and
collaborate with moonlighting residents Accurately document in
MedHost EMR
