Job Details - Location: Dallas, TX 75203 (Dallas healthcare jobs, Texas travel nurse) - Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN) - Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) – perioperative nurse role - Start Date: April 6, 2026 - End Date: July 6, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06:30 - 15:00) - Hours per Week: 40 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,500 - $2,630 per week - Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics - EMR: Epic EMR / Epic Systems experience required - Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) - COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required - On-call, weekends, holidays, and floating may be required Required Qualifications (CVOR RN / Operating Room RN) - Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. - Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR or Operating Room RN experience (preferred: cardiovascular surgery) - Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA preferred; military acceptable) - Proven Epic EMR (Epic Systems) charting experience - Experience with trauma, general OR, and diverse surgical procedures preferred - Previous charge nurse, community hospital, or trauma level I/II experience preferred - Strong skills in specimen handling, infection control, and fire/laser/radiation safety Key Responsibilities (Perioperative / CVOR RN) - Provide direct perioperative patient care in the CVOR, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes - Assist and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures, including cardiovascular, trauma, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, and orthopedic/spine cases - Administer blood and blood products and manage wound care and drains as appropriate - Ensure accurate specimen handling, labeling, and chain-of-custody procedures - Maintain compliance with infection control, fire, laser, and radiation safety protocols and universal protocol - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, pharmacy, anesthesia, and support services - Float to other units and participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required - Document all care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR Experience Dallas’s vibrant culture, diverse dining, and beautiful parks while advancing your perioperative nursing career.
