Due to growth, we are seeking someone with a proven track record leading billing, revenue management, credentialing while driving strategies that maximize payment processes to help our continuous growth and expand our Insurance platform.Supports DECA Dental Group's billing function and the development and implementation of contracting & payer relations, financial strategies, forecasting, and analytics to align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.This position will be reporting directly to the CEO and will play an instrumental role in expanding the DECA brand.Job Duties and Requirements:

  • Directs and oversees the strategic function and processes Insurance/Billing, Provider Credentialing, Auditing, and Training/QA
  • Develops strategies and leads development of performance metrics and efficiencies that promote profitable growth
  • Develops relationships with governmental bodies, managed care organizations and other business partners
  • Assists and participates in the company objective of aggressive revenue growth including marketing efforts in conjunction with relationships with all third-party payers
  • Formulates and implements strategies and initiatives for payer contracting; develops contracts and rate methodologies consistent with company goals and values
  • Identifies national tools, financial modeling systems, and resources necessary to develop financial goals for new contracts and remediation on all existing contracts
  • Provides education and training to staff or third-party vendors, as needed
  • Oversight of outsourced Revenue Cycle Management
  • Assists in due diligence and integration of new practice partnerships
  • Leads cross-functionally to ensure that plans executed and results measured for the Insurance Department are shared with all business partners
  • Develops written procedures for standardization of processes; continually monitors changes in workflow as needed to improve productivity
  • Forecasts staffing needs and manages staffing levels, with a strong focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining strong talent
  • Assists in month end close and reporting responsibilities, systems close and maintenance, report reconciliation and review
  • Analyzes Profit and Loss statements and Accounts Receivable Aging; recommends changes in courses of action
  • Prepares departmental reports and analysis on a weekly and monthly basis for the CEO, CFO, and Operations Team; responsible for preparation of board deck for CEO to the Board of Directors for departmental impact
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as needed by the businessEducation & Background Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, accounting, finance, health administration is required; MHA or MBA preferred
    • 10+ years' experience with in-depth working knowledge of billing and the insurance industries including reimbursement, billing, revenue cycle and contracting preferably in managed care
    • Experience in a growing healthcare environment; DSO and multi-state experience preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of the end-to-end revenue cycle management
    • Strong working knowledge of EHR and other systems and technology that drives efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
    • Ability to read and analyze contracts
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Successful track record of leading high performing teams delivering exceptional results
    • Proven career progression with increasing levels of project experience and responsibility
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointCompensation will commensurate with experience.
