We blend cultures, talents, and experience into an exemplary health and hospital system.-- Parkland has earned distinction as one of America's Best Hospitals by U.S News and World Report every year since 1994.PRIMARY PURPOSEResponsible for managing a designated program which may include grant development and implementation, staffing, budget and coordination of community agency services and educational activities depending on assigned area.--MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSEducation:-Must have a Master's degree in Social Work or a Health Services field.VIP/Rape Crisis Only:--Must have a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.HIV Only:----Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Counseling. Master's degree preferred.SPARKS Only: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Behavioral Health, Social Sciences, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university. Master's degree in Nursing, Behavioral Health, Social Sciences, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university is preferred.--Experience:- Must have three (3)--years of related experience including one year of management experience.VIP/Rape Crisis Only: Must have at least three (3)--years of counseling experience and one (1) year of management experience.HIV Only:- 3+ years'--experience with State and/or Federal grants administration and program/project management, preferably with the Ryan White Program.- Preferred 3+ years'--experience working with PLWHA (People Living with HIV/AIDS).- Preferred 3+ years'--experience with HIV/AIDS education--- Prefer 3 years of experience working in an urban healthcare system.SPARKS Only:- 3+ years of clinical experience working with healthcare staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in an acute care setting.- 3 years of working in a staff support capacity.- 1+ years of experience in leading groups is required.- 1+ years of management is preferred.WISH Only:- Must have four years of progressive NICU, L&D, or Mother-Baby nursing experience--Equivalent Education and/or Experience:- May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.--Certification/Registration/Licensure:- Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.A: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction within 30 days of placement in role.- Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.HCB: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals within 30 days of placement in role.- Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) within 30 days of placement in role.--VIP/Rape Crisis Only:- Must be licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners as LMSW or LCSW, or by Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors as a LPC.--Skills or Special Abilities:- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.- Must have good leadership skills.- Must be organized and detail oriented.- Must have Personal Computer skills. Must be able to demonstrate skill in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel software.- Must demonstrate good time management, budget, and personnel management ability in a grant-funded environment.- Must have knowledge of community resources and services of benefit to target population.- Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.- Must be able to perform consistently and positively in a high stress environment.- Addresses social determinants in patient care plans. -Utilizes creativity and innovation in attaining desired outcomes.- Uses a holistic approach and persists when solving problems.- Works in a highly organized manner, capturing and attending to details as well as the bigger picture.- Acts with a sense of urgency.- Synthesizes information and shares it with a larger group.- Works effectively in an ambiguous environment.- Demonstrates a working knowledge of PC operations and the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software in a Windows environment.--WISH- Must maintain membership with a women's health or neonatal professional organization.- Must be able to communicate effectively with professional nursing staff, medical staff, and allied health professionals.- Must have superior writing skill to compose course outlines, objectives, and manuals.- Must demonstrate competence in technical skills and knowledge related to NICU, L&D, or MotherBaby Services.- Must be organized and creative in the education process for both individual and large group classes.--#CPParkland Health and Hospital System prohibits discrimination based on age (40 or over), race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, disability, national origin, marital status, political belief, or veteran status.
