Job Description:
Payroll Tax AnalystFlexible Hours: 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, or
9am-6pmDuration: 3-6 monthsLocation: Dallas/Hybrid - in office on
Wednesdays, may need another day each week for a period of time
until up to speed
GENERAL FUNCTIONAs part of the HR Operations Team, the
Analyst-Payroll Tax performs a variety of duties to support the HR
and Payroll functions for associates in North America. He/She also
provides exceptional customer service and problem resolution while
maintaining strict confidentiality of information at all times. Is
responsible for all functions relating to payroll tax reporting and
filing tax returns utilizing ADP Payroll Tax Services for
multiple-EIN s, operating in multi-states environment, assisting
with acquisitions and mergers to ensure compliance with all
federal, state, and local tax authorities.MAJOR DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES Compliance with all federal, state, and local tax
regulations for US, Puerto Rico and Canada Ability to research,
analyze and provide recommendations to tax related questions
Maintaining payroll tax controls, reports and files for each taxing
authority by EIN Analyze and reconcile payroll controls to
quarterly ADP reports and Preview W-2s and T4s Process tax
adjustments and amendments as well as create process documentation
Preparing, remitting and filing returns not supported by ADP
Payroll Tax Service on a quarterly and annual basis Document and
verify tax rate changes are accurately and timely updated by ADP
Administer new account set ups, prepare/remit new State, SUI &
Local registrations and closures as needed for tax authorities with
ADP Tax & Registration Services Timely coordinate tax notices from
federal, state, and local tax agencies with ADP Tax Services for
research and resolution Reconciliation/management of incoming tax
agency refunds and employee repayments; coordinating back-up and
coding with GL & AR First line support to incoming payroll tax
tickets & inquiries from customers, provide timely and exceptional
customer service First line support to the Payroll Tax Mailbox for
agencies inquires, tax notices, communications and employee federal
tax exempt approval notifications Prepare escheating reconciliation
on a monthly basis, using ADP reports and invoices to meet
established deadlines and coordinate with Finance Audit online HR
Reports each pay period to ensure accurate tax setups for home
address changes, location address changes, new hires, transfers and
Visas/EADs Assist with Acquisitions and Integrations tax workbooks,
tax withholding audits, and prior tax balances Prepare workers
compensation renewal reports, process returns, remittances and
audit reports Process tax setups related to VISAs & EADs Serve as
backup to Shadow Payroll processing Process employee tax setups for
local, school district and LST taxes Provide support to the Payroll
Coordinators for tax errors, issues and inquiries Process
performance share uploads, relocation uploads, other year-end
uploads by established deadline Train on and assist with Expats
Process 3rd party provider STD/LTD payroll entries & reimbursements
with A/P for FICA-ER in an accurate and timely manner Support
internal and external audits Ad-hoc reporting using ADP Reporting
Special projects, as neededQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s degree or
equivalent combination of education and experience required 3+
years HR Payroll tax experience required Previous experience with
reporting, data analysis or payroll Advanced Microsoft Excel
including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Data Tables
Leadership, initiative, analytic, investigative and attention to
detail skills Trustworthiness with confidential information CPP
preferred Positive attitude and a team player Multi-state payroll
processing experience Must be comfortable with engaging in a
variety of different communicative modes and being attuned to
others through strong active listening skills. Experience with
reporting, data analysis, and auditing Ability to prioritize work
in a fast pace and constantly changing environment Ability to work
effectively with all levels of management, staff, customers, and
vendors Experience utilizing ADP s GlobalView system, ADP reporting
or other equivalent reporting tool
