Job Description:

HR Payroll Liaison

The HR Payroll Liaison role will be responsible for performing the activities required to produce, and when necessary correct, colleagues pay.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform activities related to the handling of the day-to-day operations that create the bi-weekly corporate payrolls, wage and tax payment/reporting, and miscellaneous disbursements.

* New Hire and Termination processing including calculation of first and final pay.

Tasks including resolving and directing items related to Time Management support.
* Process off cycle taxable earnings (i.e. taxable awards, fringe benefits, etc); pay adjustments.
* Create, audit and balance bi-weekly pay batches in Rapid Pay Data Entry (RPDE) (i.e. Business Unit Incentives (BUI), Nondiscretionary, Parking, Tuition Reimbursement, Benefit deductions & refunds, Sign on Bonus, Retention, Severance, Gift Cards, CoStar Awards, Taxable Expense Re-imbursement, etc) and submit to outsourced payroll provider for processing.
* Assist in preparation of the biweekly payroll by performing pre-payroll audits.
* Submit Pay Card request forms to Card Services for initial set up when requested by an employee.
* Monitor day-to-day activates of Wage Garnishments, Child Support Orders and Levies between legal services and outsourced payroll provided for accurate processing per court orders.
* Daily NOC reporting.
* Maintain files to be compliant with specific regulations as applies to records management.
* Process Prior Quarter Tax Adjustments due to Overpayment Recoveries, Cafe 125 refunds, State and Local Jurisdiction Tax Refunds.
* Work one-on-one with Canadian senior leadership on the biweekly Canadian payroll processing as well as submitting the Canadian payroll to Canadian payroll vendor for processing.
* Monitor the Canadian Pension monthly contribution process as well as annual reporting on T4's.
* Process Altair Relocation monthly gross ups as well as quarterly and annually reconciliations.

Assist in problem investigation/analysis when pay issues are raised and execute activities to resolve.

* Process and control of Manual Checks, Gross to Nets, Voids, and ACH Deletes; audit and control; problem investigation/analysis/resolution, etc.
* Issue instant pay cards as required.
* PTO adjustments for Returns from LOA.
* Research service requests (SRs) employees call into payroll provider and provide appropriate response based on Company and Human Resources policy and procedures.

Work directly with third party vendors, external agencies, and internal colleagues, at all levels, locally and nationally throughout the corporation to respond to requests for HR data.

* Provide payroll data as appropriate (internal and external audits, department investigations, legal subpoenas, etc.).
* Tasks including resolving and directing items related to Subpoenas.
* Assist in timely filling of all applicable payroll reports; including, but not limited to The Department of Labor Multiple Worksite Reporting.
* Comply with all ILM and regulatory requirements related to information generated through Case Management (Legal Requests).
* Retrieve documents as required to comply with requests from Legal, Fraud, colleagues, etc.
* Process overpayment letters.

Backup Payroll Accountant with certain functions as:

* Daily Manual Check and Gross to Net funding including off cycle Manual Check ADP ACH file approval.

Position Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* 2 years customer service experience in a telephone and face-to-face environment
* 2 years functional experience in payroll in a multi-company/multi-state environment with at least 3,000 employees
* 2 years of experience in audit and reconciliation
* 2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Excel and Word
* 1 year experience in system data entry

Comerica Bank Tower8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.
