BL-Academi JV, LLC seeks prior United States Air Force (USAF) Special Warfare (SW) and Combat Support (CS) personnel to serve asField Developers (FD's)in support of the USAF CDSS-III contract. The CDSS-III FD contractors, sometimes referred to as a Coach, or Mentors, shall inspire and develop future SW/CS Operators for the physical and mental demands of their selected pipeline courses and career fields, by use of transparent, objective-based resiliency programs. FD's are specifically focused on supporting existing military personnel through various phases of SW/CS training pipelines (post-accession). Additional details are summarized below:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides daily pre-accession services for the USAF CDSS-III program by providing support and services to Commissioning Institution (USAFA/ROTC) and Post-Accession military candidates
  • FD's shall possess a level of physical fitness to serve as an example to SW/CS candidates; at a minimum all FD contractors shall maintain a level of fitness to physically demonstrate proper techniques and exercises at all PAST and development events.
  • FD's shall provide physical fitness coaching, human performance academics, remedial skills, and mental resiliency training to support students IAW approved Government lesson plans. This support is required to provide continued physical and mental development, thus enabling the Air Force to effectively develop candidates to their fullest potential to meet increased SW/CS requirements.
  • FD's shall develop Strength and Conditioning, mentoring, combat skills, and troop leading Lesson Plans (LP's) upon request by the government. Location specific Lesson Plans will be developed and implemented under the oversight of the government site lead.
  • LP's will be drafted and administered IAW Air Force and organizational guidance provided by the Government PM. LP's will be submitted to the Site Government Lead for approval no later than 45 days after the completion of the Phase-In/Phase-Out period for review/approval and will be implemented by all Wing Developers within 1 (one) business day after notification of Government approval at the Wing Development training locations. If Government furnished LP's are provided the Contractor shall review and acknowledge receipt. Initial LP's and any future updates or improvements to LP's will be coordinated between the Government and Contractor and modified documents will be submitted to the COR for acceptance. Contractor shall acknowledge in writing receipt of all LP modifications.
  • The Contractor shall comply with technical training location physical training and mentorship lesson plans and programming.
  • When directed by the Government contracted developers shall use furnished lesson plans for all training evolutions; FD's shall comply with all AF safety regulations, local governing Risk Management (RM) procedures, and emergency action policies for all training events.
  • Any conflicting instructional guidance will be adjudicated by the CDSS III Government PM/COR.
  • Communicates with contractor CDSS leadership team and maintains constant contact with appropriate wing key stakeholders to ensure all program deliverables are being met within standards
  • Has demonstrated experience conducting, evaluation and/or managing USAF SW/CS operations, training and candidate selection processes.
  • Supports the contractor PM with proactively identifying problems, challenges and obstacles related to daily operations; determines accuracy and relevancy of information, communicates frequently with CDSS leadership, subordinates and laterally with other training counterparts and takes prompt action to correct deficiencies, substandard performance and other issues as required at the WD level
  • Ability to work in a blended military and civilian environment; each WD shall also influence, inspire and develop future SW/CS operators to better prepare them for course pipelines and overall demands of the program and career field
  • Ensure candidates understand SW/CS attributes based on transparent, objective based resiliency programs; stress tolerance, drive, problem solving, teamwork, communications, trainability, integrity, and physical fitness
  • Providing physical fitness coaching and mental resiliency training to support students out of training during that timeframe categorized as Student Awaiting Entry (SAT), Student out of Training (SOT), or Ineffective in training (IIT).
  • Demonstrating proper techniques for physical training and administering Physical Ability Stamina Tests (PAST) and Physical Fitness Tests (PFT) IAW US Air Force standards.
  • Tracking and reporting weekly/monthly updates and status on candidate's progress in both physical performance and mental resiliency to the Program Manager using government provided on-line, web-based tracking tool(s) to provide both physical and mental resiliency updates on all candidates.
  • Assist with the development of physical training and mentoring lesson plans as well as Risk Management Assessment Worksheets.
  • Conducting full assessment of candidates. Assessment will include; but not be limited to, (1) history of candidate's contact with Developer pre-accession; (2) physical development areas that need additional focus; (3) strengths and weaknesses involving motivational attributes; and (4) PAST results.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance while actively developing SO/CS candidates and practicing high standards of personal hygiene and wear neat/clean fitness clothing/apparel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Minimum of 6 years operational experience (post training) active duty (Regular AF) or AFR or ANG in one of the below SW/CS career fields.
    • Prior USAF combat AFSC service; PJ or CRO, CCT or STO, SR or SOWT, TACP or TACPO, or ALO (13L), EOD (3E8XX), or SERE qualified; with at least one deployment to combat environment(s) such as; Operation Enduring Freedom, operation Iraqi Freedom, or Operation New Dawn.
    • DD214 stating honorable discharge with documented service in specified AF SW/CS career fields.
    • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certified.
    • Personal Trainer Certified: acceptable personal certifications credentials: ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA or the Cooper Institute. Cross Fit 'certifications' do not qualify as a certification substitute.
    • Current Lifeguard Certification, such as the YMCA, or similar.
    • Valid U.S. driver's license.
    • Ability to pass a NACI background check.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
    • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process and ability to closely monitor student safety during high-risk training operations involving the use of explosives.
    • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to provide continued, uninterrupted support to assigned projects, clients and/or programs.WHY BL-ACADEMI JV, LLC?
