Role: Sr Technical Consultant - Commerce Location : Remote About our Commerce Business Unit : Global team that specializes in designing and implementing industry leading eCommerce platforms and products bringing unified commerce experience, through strategic discussion aligned to business needs With our deep expertise in performance engineering, along with maintaining & enhancing commerce, order management, and fulfillment capabilities, we help clients maximize value in their investments and run at peak performance. Demonstrable expertise on the leading Commerce and Order Management platforms such as IBM Sterling products What you will do: Troubleshoot technical issues arising from the Luminate commerce products. Analyze the available data and find the Root cause of the problem. Monitor the production environment and resolve errors. Develop possible solution themselves and on situations work closely with Product Engineering team members and provide updates to customers. Participate in all stages of the product development process, including designing, building, and testing across various environments namely QA, Staging, Pre Production and production. Create tools and Utilities to automate key processes. Prepare extensive documentation when logging product issues. Prepare weekly reports summarizing production performance, release notes for upgrades, and troubleshooting guides etc Interact with product users thru in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and live messaging chats and gather feedback and provide inputs on the product usage. Suggest overall product improvements including new enhancements. Proactively evaluate engineering processes and provide recommendations to increase overall efficiency. What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience in developing software with open source technologies Experience developing or supporting Retail/E-commerce/Order Management/Order Fulfilment/Inventory Management/OMS applications Proven hands-on Software Development experience in developing applications in Java. Experience in DevOps or Automation engineering Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design using common design patterns. Experience with Spring Framework (including Spring MVC , Spring Boot). Desired skills: Knowledge on Hazelcast IMDG or any other distributed caching framework is preferred and not mandatory Experience in performance testing and tuning is highly desirable.
