Associate, Software Asset Management in CIO Advisory for our
Consulting practice.Responsibilities:Provide high quality
professional day-to-day execution of various Software Asset
Management (SAM) engagements including SAM current state
assessments, software license optimization reviews and SAM tool
implementations/integrationsGeneral understanding of SAM lifecycle,
procurement negotiation and renewal processesAnalyze clients' SAM
processes and standards, current inventory datasets and SAM
toolsets to identify gaps and opportunities for optimization and
remediationAnalyze complex software license agreements and
contractsReview entitlement documentation such as purchase orders
and vendor entitlement summary reportsFamiliarity with discovery
and inventory sources such as CMDB, SCCM, ILMT, VMware to analyze
deployments with the goal of building license positions for various
software vendorsIdentify cost optimization opportunities and risk
remediation recommendationsLead client meetings to discuss license
position, optimization and remediation activities and obtain
feedback on findingsDay-to-day operations of SAM tools (such as
Flexera or ServiceNow) and familiarity in configuration options to
provide automated license reportingProvide junior team members
insight on technical and licensing problems and provide guidance on
how to complete complex deliverablesBuild trusted relationships
with clients and stakeholdersQualifications:Minimum of four years
of advisory experience in software asset management including
either software license analysis reviews or SAM tool
implementations/integrationsBachelor's degree from an accredited
college/universityStrong understanding with the SAM lifecycle,
processes and best practicesExperience with data analysis tools
including Excel, Access and SequelExperience with market leading
SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow or SNOW KPMG LLP (the U.S.
member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive
