This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.Essential Functions:

• Serve as functional leader for business area, managing a team ranging from entry-level to experienced engineering professionals
• Proactively manage staffing levels (supply vs demand) across numerous labor categories (e.g. full-time engineers, contractors, etc.) and projects. - -
• Work in partnership with interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic objectives for both the business and functional areas.
• Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performances of work area in support of functional strategy.
• Influence acceptance of new practices, approaches, and technologies in software engineering.
• Document software designs, practices, and development procedures.
• Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams. At times, may manage scope, schedule and technological direction. Provide mentorship to individual contributors, fostering the development of talent and expertise within the organization.
• Basic financial acumen with the ability to discern how operational changes can enhance profitability. Qualifications:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which requires U.S Citizenship.
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
• A combination of education and experience -may be -considered in lieu of a degree.Preferred Additional Skills:
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • 10+ years in Object Oriented Programming with a stronf focus on Java
  • 10+ years using software configuration management tools (e.g. Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • 3+ years leading engineering teams, and experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) or similar type financial role.
  • Independent work ethic, following verbal or written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills: disciplined approach to prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing concurrent responsibilities.
