Justice’s (DoJ) groundbreaking program aimed at strengthening the
infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving user
experience across US Marshals Service (USMS) districts. This IT
modernization initiative is a critical component of ensuring the
effectiveness and security of our nation’s law enforcement
operations. We are looking for an experienced Governance
Documentation Specialist to join our team on this new contract. We

governance posture and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
Prepare and format governance documentation to ensure clarity,
consistency, and compliance with organizational standards. Provide
support for records retention policies and procedures to ensure
proper management and disposal of records. Assemble audit packages
for internal and external audits, ensuring all required
documentation is included and organized. Document workflows to
ensure processes are clearly defined, understood, and followed by
all stakeholders. Collect and maintain compliance evidence to
support governance requirements and audit processes. Maintain
knowledge repositories to ensure all governance documentation,
policies, and procedures are easily accessible and up-to-date.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align documentation
strategies with business objectives and IT strategies. Develop and
maintain comprehensive documentation for governance processes,
configurations, and procedures. Stay current with emerging
governance documentation technologies, trends, and best practices.
Participate in the procurement and evaluation of documentation
management tools and software. Ensure compliance with industry
regulations and internal policies in all documentation efforts.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of documentation processes to
identify areas for improvement. Contribute to the continuous
improvement of documentation strategies and methodologies. Engage
in knowledge-sharing activities and training sessions to enhance
team skills and capabilities. Qualifications: Required: Active DoD
Public Trust clearance or US citizen with ability to obtain Public
Trust upon hire Bachelor’s degree in Governance, Risk Management,
Compliance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as
a Governance Documentation Specialist or in a similar documentation
role. Proficiency in documentation preparation and formatting.
Experience in supporting records retention policies and procedures.
Expertise in assembling audit packages for internal and external
audits. Strong skills in documenting workflows and processes.
Experience in collecting and maintaining compliance evidence.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Desired: Certifications
such as Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC),
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent.
Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools and
software. Knowledge of international regulations and standards
(e.g., GDPR, ISO 31000). Familiarity with enterprise content
management (ECM) systems. Experience in a specific industry (e.g.,

influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic
location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract
wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and

The proposed salary range for this position is: $68,400-$143,700
