Responsibilities

Suzanne Calvert and Associates, in-house counsel, is seeking to fill an Attorney opening. We hire the best employees to serve our customers, making us a leader in the insurance and financial services industry. - -Our office is located in downtown Dallas.Our employees are considered hybrid employees - spending some time working in the office and some time working remotely. Once onboarded and trained, you will manage a caseload independently and proactively move files from inception to resolution in an insurance defense environment. -You are resourceful and have a strong work ethic with the ability to independently manage cases from answer to trial while providing superior customer service. - -You are an excellent communicator, with exceptional organization skills, and adept with technology.
Qualifications

• Must have a law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
• Must have active license to practice law in Texas and be a member in good standing with the bar or, if a new law school graduate, be in the process of preparing for and taking the Texas bar exam
• 0 - 5+ years litigation experience in Texas, preferably in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and surrounding counties
• First chair trial experience preferred
• If a new law school graduate, mock trial/trial advocacy experience is required.
• Insurance Defense experience preferred
• Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
