Job Description:

The Consumer and Marketing Technologies Department is the IT Engine that delivers robust solutions to Kimberly-Clark’s marketing teams by working with the appropriate internal and external resources including vendor partners. Our goal is to deliver innovative, efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet business needs thereby driving business growth and profitability while adhering to the global platform vision. This critical role will have direct accountability for the timeliness and quality of delivery and rollout of a global consumer engagement platform.. The Head of Marketing Platform is a technology leader who will be responsible for delivering a global Consumer Engagement Platform (CEP) that seamlessly integrates with other marketing platforms in line with the global digital platform vision. He/she has the key responsibility for the technical stack built around Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and also some cloud-native mobile applications. He/she is responsible for building a platform with minimum customization while offering the right level of flexibility through configuration. As a leader, the Head will ensure that SFCC components, mobile components/APIs and integrations are loosely coupled to be used across global implementations in a cost-effective way. In this regard, this leader will drive cross-functional collaboration across K-C stakeholders (Brand, Security, Infrastructure, etc.) to deliver timely and high-quality digital solutions. In addition to implementing digital projects, this individual is responsible for establishing day-to-day operational support for the systems that are part of the global platform and take care of change, incident, problem and configuration management. The right person for this role is proactive with stakeholders, a self-starter who can work under broad direction, and passionate about delivering world-class digital products that enable the business to optimize operations to maximize the value of K-C investments.. Scope/Categories:. Internal Interfaces: Marketing Leadership, Regional / Global Digital Marketers, Brand Managers, Marketing Directors, Product Managers, Business Partners and Other technology teams (infrastructure, Security).. External Interfaces: Consultants, Partners, 3rd Party Integration Providers.. Travel may include approximately 15-20% of work time.. Key Accountabilities:. Responsible for engineering and delivery of global consumer engagement platform (CEP) and its subsequent rollout to different markets. Will deliver CEP initiatives in accordance with business and IT priorities and annual budgets by building the team with appropriate engineering and delivery talent.. Ensure the engineering team complies with K-C software development standards including security standards. Advance devOps practices and promote good engineering culture.. Engage with delivery partners, negotiate proposals and facilitate delivery of high-quality solutions in alignment with the global platform vision.. Understand and influence the global digital platform vision by representing the regional business needs. Strive to build solutions that can be globally leveraged across markets and regions.. Enable staff with the needed functional and technical skills required to meet K-C’s growing application portfolio and changing technology needs. Help develop leaders through real time coaching and mentoring, driving with K-C’s global leader mindset.. Consistently demonstrates the One K-C Behaviors. Ensure insight and understanding of “best practices” and keeping pace with competition and peer companies.. Required Qualifications and Experiences:. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Similar.. 7-10 years of experience in implementing eCommerce applications using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and/or Demandware or another eCommerce engine is required. Most recent experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus. Digital marketing knowhow is preferred but not required. CPG domain experience is a plus.. Strong engineering leadership in developing cloud-native mobile applications in AWS or Azure is an advantage.. Experience leading IT projects and/or programs adopting Agile/Waterfall methodologies.. Good understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases and cloud experience are expected.. Good understanding data privacy and data protection regulations like GDPR, CCPA is desired. Experience implementing solutions adhering to PCI regulations is an advantage.. Experience managing delivery partners and systems integrators in enterprise software delivery is a must.. Experience in the implementation of marketing capabilities (CRM, Product Management Information System, etc.) and leading / building ecommerce stores and handling end to end processes is a plus. Portfolio and project management experience will be an advantage. Demonstrated skills in engineering leadership, solution architecture, solution delivery, client relationship management, keen sense of urgency in delivering results, business knowledge, intuition and judgment, high cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity, effective communication/collaboration.. Strong facilitation skills required. Must display vision and resiliency. Ability to work in a virtual team across cultures, time zones and external parties including customers.. Demonstrated experience in absorbing complex digital information and communicating effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences..
