As an intern, you will learn aspects of the merchandise financial planning, store planning and allocation processes by working side-by-side with our planning and allocation teams. You will gain an understanding of the off-price retail market, sales planning and forecasting, allocating to provide breadth of assortment and will have the opportunity to increase your overall understanding of the retail business while gaining hands-on experience. In addition, you will acquire key skills and knowledge that is necessary for success such as problem-solving, analytical and communication skills as well as experience with project management and supply chain processes. At the end of the internship, you will present a project to demonstrate these skills as well as your understanding of the planning and allocation process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Vendor and store visits with merchandise and planning teams
• Participate in pre-season planning
• Assist with in-season forecasting
• Provide analytics and reporting of key business data as needed for decision making
• Create, review and analyze business reports to ensure key performance indicators are being met
• Build store forecasting methods to support stores with appropriate inventory
• Gain understanding of the allocation philosophy in the off-price model
• Utilize the allocation tool to distribute product using various methodology
• Special projects as assigned
• Generate meaningful business ideas and gain a taste for the culture of the company
