SUMMARY: This position will play an integral role in District Initiatives relating to our future teacher pipelines. This role will be responsible for organizing, launching and effectively maintaining communication with our partnerships, programs and students.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and build new and existing partnerships vital to Human Capital Management teaching pipelines
  • Lead and participate in meetings, workshops and seminars (e.g., workshops, inter- and intra- district committees, seminars, conferences) for the purpose of conveying and gathering information regarding the Teacher Recruitment and Retention program initiatives and goals
  • Support the development and implementation of the district's priorities by growing a pool of individuals seeking to become a qualified teacher in Dallas ISD (e.g., teacher assistants, candidates in early stages of education, "Grow Your Own" initiatives)
  • Organize and communicate information regarding pathways to becoming a teacher to a variety group of audiences such as partnerships, programs, and students
  • Compile data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of developing and tracking Key Performance Indicators and other benchmarks of success in order to provide information to assist the team with assessing impact
  • Maintain a wide variety of documents, (e.g., action plans, standard operating procedures) files and records for Human Capital Management initiatives
  • Complete ad hoc assignments for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work
  • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification as appropriate
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Three years' experience in title 1 schools, recruitment, program or initiative management or directly related work
  • Ability to demonstrate innovative and strategic thinking
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office Professional
  • Ability to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; often gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment
  • Flexibility to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and compile accurate and detailed reports
  • Ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals and work with data of varied types and/or purposes
  • Ability to maintain cross-functional teams with other district departments, education nonprofits, institutions of higher learning, committees, and other vested stakeholders
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks successfully to meet established timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to plan for and manage multi-faceted, districtwide projects that result in desired outcomes in a timely manner
