SUMMARY. The Dealer Development Manager is part of the Network Operations and Support team that supports the growth of the dealer network and adds value for BRP and its dealers by cultivating a business relationship that facilitates each dealer's growth, optimal performance, and success. This position will evaluate prospective new dealers for BRP and plan, enhance, and measure the performance of assigned dealers. This job regularly requires being in front of the dealers to present performance programs and review financial information. Required travel is an average of 4 days a week and 1 day in the office depending on the workload. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Responsible to implement team-related and company initiatives and support the performance of the dealer network. Evaluate operational proficiency and viability of new and existing dealers. Support Sales team in evaluating performance and developing improvement strategies of current dealers . Implementation of dealer performance improvement through facility expansions, relocations, renovations and consultation . Proactively work with targeted dealers to develop their business and customer experience processes. Present and counsel new dealers on performance metrics such as profitability, sales, customer experience, and BRP brand representation . Gather market data and competitive information on Open Points within US to determine best opportunities. Collaborate and work with Sales Team to prospect areas and dealers. Train and educate dealers on how to do business with BRP and ensure the dealers have a solid understanding of BRP's systems and processes. Coach dealer principals, general managers, and staff on operational best practices related to the sales, parts, service, and F&I departments. Assist various internal teams with special projects . Work closely with internal Network Development team to ensure timely and accurate coordination and execution. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS. Degree in Business, Finance or Management or 10+ years of powersports or automotive dealer management experience. Automotive or Powersports Dealer Principal, General Manager, or Controller experience. Strong knowledge & understanding of overall powersports or automotive dealer operations and finances. Prioritization of activities that are aligned with the strategic focus of team and BRP. Proven skills to analyze dealer representation in the marketplace. Creative thinking in building the network, developing sound network market proposals, strong negotiating and influencing skills and follow through. High level of skill in decision making, problem solving and analytics. Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Integrity, accuracy, dependability, and detailed oriented. Can influence, guide and educate dealers and key internal teams. Strong communication and relationship skills. Able to budget travel and report expenses. Proactive and collaborative team player, ability to work with several internal teams to accomplish objectives and special projects. Intermediate knowledge with Excel and PowerPoint. LIFE AT BRP .
