I. Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs preventive
maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs compactors
II. Essential Duties and
To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Other minor duties may be assigned.
Works under limited supervision and selects from
written instructions and established procedures to accomplish
Performs repairs and assigned preventive
maintenance services on compactors and containers..
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of
electrical and hydraulic systems.
Utilizes computer electronics systems to
interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Estimates time and material costs on compactor
and container repairs and requisitions new parts.
Welds containers as needed to make
Performs all work within Standard Repair Times
Performs service calls for emergency
Conducts safety checks on compactors and
Completes required paperwork, documenting parts
usage, and accounting for repair times.
Assists senior technicians in the completion of
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance
with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in
accordance with established safety procedures.

A. Education and Experience
Education: high school diploma or GED
Experience: 1 plus years of relevant work
experience.in welding, fabrication, electrical/hydrolic
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or
Valid driver’s license and must have a clean
