Why This Job Exists: Job Summary/Scope of Impact

We're looking for an experienced internal communications lead to develop and manage all corporate communications and social media for our essential business. This position plays an integral role in helping keep our valued associates connected, advancing the understanding of, commitment to, confidence in, and appreciation for our culture, values, and purpose - to contribute to society.

What You'll Do: Major Accountabilities

Build the internal communications strategy and ongoing programs to keep teams informed, inspired, and connected to the company's mission, culture, and core values
Demonstrate strong listening, information gathering, and empathy skills for uncovering and defining needs, deliverables, and outcomes
Collaborate with key stakeholders and support idea development and mediation between internal customers and marketing team
Drive greater engagement with Associates through great storytelling and by creating content for internal and external communications for all company channels
Provide thought leadership and message management for the leadership team
Prepare presentations and produce company Town Hall, Letters from Leadership, change management, and much more
Collaborate with stakeholders on creation and execution of community relations activities
Monitor, analyze, and report on outcomes of key corporate communications programs and activities to facilitate continuous process improvement
Develop and maintain productive, collaborative relationships and proactively support other team members and projects
Apply rigorous attention to tasks and deliverables
Take part in formal and informal training opportunities, engage with community partners, and demonstrate respect in daily interactions to ensure Associates feel welcome, valued, respected, and heard

Who You Are: Experience, Training, Education

Minimum four years of experience working in communications required
Industry knowledge preferred
Public relations agency experience preferred
Proven technical aptitude and critical thinking; knowledge of MS Office as well as deep understanding of digital and social media channels
Proven track record designing and implementing successful integrated communications programs for a business organization
Creative problem-solving skills
Exceptional writing and editing ability
Project management mind with keen attention to quality, details, and timeliness
Able to work across all levels of the organization, including with executives
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Passion for communication
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills with a knowledge of InDesign and Adobe Create Cloud Products
Event planning/management experience

Bachelor's degree required
Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field preferred
