Job Description PDQ Skilled Trades is seeking to hire a Bilingual HR Generalist for a growing and dynamic organization located in the Coppell area. We are interested in a bilingual individual to join our client---s progressive corporate HR team. Compensation: $30 per hour Work Schedule: Monday --- Friday 8 am-5 pm Job purpose The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting associates. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, workers compensation, recruiting, onboarding, policies, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. Duties and responsibilities Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations and writes and places advertisements Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations Assist employees on employee relations matters. Receive and investigate complaints and recommend actions to be taken Process worker---s compensation claims and work with the insurance adjuster to ensure accuracy of claims; participate in accident/incident investigations Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies; maintain employee handbook Responds to unemployment applications and conducts unemployment hearings Administer LOA/FMLA process Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, or promotions Flexibility to grant support to all three shifts of the manufacturing and supply chain departments. Any additional tasks for the business assigned by the HR Manager Qualifications BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field Good knowledge of employment/labor laws Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, Oracle; Paycom, and Applicant Tracking System will be a plus Excellent communication and people skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing schedules and priorities PHR/ SPHR certification will be a plus Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience Language: Bilingual For more information, please contact us at 214.293.7424 Company Description We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and we prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind and promote an environment free of discrimination and harassment.
