This is a hybrid position. Remote 2 days per week, onsite 3 days per week.TIB is the nation's largest and most trusted "Bankers' Bank", providing correspondent banking products and services to over 1,300 independent community banks of every size from coast-to-coast. We utilize state-of-the-art systems and deliver innovative solutions to our customers. If you are seeking an opportunity for growth and excellence within the banking industry, we are hiring for a Merchant Customer Service Specialist that will act as a support liaison between TIB and associate and principle banks and provide customer and technical support to banks on the principal merchant program, merchants on the associate merchant program and TIB direct merchants.MAJOR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responds to inbound inquiries from associate and principal banks and direct merchants.
  • Provides research, reporting, and accounting related support to our agent banks and merchant customers.
  • Promotes a positive relationship and exemplary customer service between TIB and all of our customers.
  • Provides options and advice to meet the objectives of our customers.
  • Identifies ways to improve service levels and productivity within the department.
  • Assists agent banks and merchants with first level terminal related issues.
  • Provides support and assists agent banks and merchants with online product offerings.
  • Performs data entry and maintenance on the FDR system.
  • Assists in maintaining department service level goals established by customer services support manager.
  • Provides accurate and timely point of sale training to merchants and agent banks.REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 1 - 3 years merchant or bank credit card experience preferred
    • Exemplary customer service skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a call center environment
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment
    • Strong organization and problem solving skills required
    • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
    • Regular and punctual attendance is required
    • Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within and foster a team environment
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across all levels
