Job Description Job Overview Dallas International School provides a multi-lingual, well-rounded education for its students. Dallas International School is a great place to learn and work The Front Desk Coordinator will provide front office coverage and phone support. Job duties include (but are not limited to): Front Office Answer and screen phone calls, taking messages and transferring calls as needed. Receive and respond to visitor and parent inquiries, following all outlined procedures. Track student departures, ensuring they are picked up by parents or other authorized individuals. Monitor students waiting for pick-up. Receive, track and distribute any incoming packages. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Front Office area by complying with procedures and rules. Maintain security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges. Other duties as assigned. Administrative Perform light clerical or data entry duties, as needed. Work with other departments on projects and provide assistance, as needed. Carry out instructions and duties as provided by the Office of the Head of School/ CEO, as needed. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing student affairs related tasks, as needed. Assist with campus events, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma (or the GED equivalent). Two years of front office and/or customer service experience are required. Intermediate computer skills are required including word processing, excel/data-entry, e-mail and Internet usage. Candidates can substitute additional related education for the equivalent amount of experience. Strong organizational skills required. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with children and ability to supervise them are essential. The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required: Professional and welcoming demeanor. Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative ability. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong ability to work in a diverse environment. Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree in customer service related field. Four (4) years of front office and/or customer service experience are required. Work experience and exposure to diverse languages and cultures strongly preferred. Experience working in a school environment. Bilingual in French/English strongly preferred.
