Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Transformation, this individual will support and influence the strategic direction of the Global Product Creation (GPC) organization (which includes merchandising, creative design, product design and development, planning, supply chain, and material sustainability).

This individual will work on the essential environmental sustainability initiatives that will equip TWDC to meet its environmental sustainability goals in both the short-term and long-term, while delivering innovation, increased value and leverage to the organization.

Responsibilities :

Develop Sustainable Strategies for Long Term Growth
Lead the design and delivery of CPGP environmental sustainability strategies to achieve TWDC sustainability goals - from materials to scope 3 carbon emissions
Champion sustainability across CPGP business units and ensure alignment
Contribute to strategic vision and objectives of the Global Product Creation group through support of long-range plans
Drive global, consumer-led, and product-specific business strategies to support environmental sustainability that create long-term value for the segment
Build strategies to streamline and simplify how we create and develop product globally that meets our sustainability goals and evolves with industry trends
Monitor ongoing results of key initiatives as measured by KPIs and supporting business metrics
Maintain a strong awareness of the global merchandise business, including knowledge of licensed, vertical, and flexible business models
Prepare and present business strategies to Senior Executive leadership as needed
Use expertise in summarizing information and identifying trends and opportunities
Develop resources and materials to equip GPC to respond to evolving industry needs on scope 3 emissions reporting and reduction strategies
Lead GPC efforts related to Scope 3 carbon emissions - partner with internal thought partners throughout
Provide Line-of-Sight Visibility and Critical Connection Across GPC and Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP)
Provide line-of-sight to Director of GPC on high-priority initiatives and daily business issues
Contribute to critical deliverables and projects related to GPC Environmental Sustainability initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally to unlock areas of intersection / interdependency ("connect the dots")
Build and foster collaborative partnerships across functions and departments within Disney Parks, Experiences and Products to identify business issues, risks, prioritize solutions, drive alignment and implement changes on behalf of GPC
Partner with other business leaders and their teams to project manage and influence strategies to meet environmental sustainability goals and take advantage of business opportunities as they arise
Coordinate sustainability initiatives across key cross-functional teams domestically and internationally
Build standards-based approach that will support functional integration and local ownership while maintaining alignment
Work with teams to build reports and tools to monitor and communicate progress
Own and Direct Cross-Functional Team Management
Lead multi-functional CPGP project teams to deliver new business initiatives and influence existing strategies
Direct CPGP Sustainability Task Force - own agenda, meeting cadence, develop content, ensure alignment
Create a maintain a positive team environment
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
Basic Qualifications :

Has at least 7 years of experience in retail sustainability, corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility or related field.
College degree in related field of study
Proven Analytical capabilities
Familiarity with working in-or with-large matrixed organizations
Capacity to develop presentations, including demonstrated competency in creating strong, visually compelling decks and materials
Team player with track record for building strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
Expertise in project management with ability to balance shifting priorities to manage and deliver complex projects on time
