*About CFGC*

Child & Family Guidance Center (CFGC) is a non-profit that has been dedicated to providing mental health services to both adults and children since 1896. The agency is the oldest child guidance center in Texas and 2nd oldest in the nation. CFGC has 8 locations across the DFW metroplex and is still growing.

*Benefits*

As this is a part-time/as needed basis, benefits are not extended to this position. You may request more information regarding this during the interview with the Lead Pharmacist.

*The Position*

CFGC is looking for a board certified Pharmacist who will be responsible for verifying and dispensing prescriptions from our principal location in Dallas, TX. MTM opportunities will be available and the need to work as a clinical pharmacist will arise occasionally. The candidate we are looking for will have a proven track record of experience in a pharmacy, be actively licensed with the Texas Board of Pharmacy, and be available whenever the pharmacy needs exceed our standard operating thresholds. As the Pharmacy is a new branch of the company, the ideal candidate will show a passion towards mental health and be reliable in helping develop a solid foundation as the department expands operations.

*PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS*

- *MUST pass background check, TAC Exclusion checks, and drug screen*

- *MUST shadow lead pharmacist for 1 day prior to offer being extended*

- *MUST pass Pharmacy math, spelling and patient care test with a minimum 80% score*

*Job Duties*

- Verification of pharmacy orders and dispensing of prescriptions without error

- Review and execute physicians' prescriptions checking their appropriateness

- Review drug interactions

- Implementation of drug monitoring programs

- Implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate administration and delivery of prescriptions

- Implementation of medication therapy management (MTM)

- Coordination of drug to patient services

- Timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.

- Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental standards, programs and initiatives

- Ongoing professional development and growth

- Communicate effectively, develop working relationships and role model teamwork

- Manages own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

- Other duties as assigned

*Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements*

- Must have an RPH or a PharmD

- Active and valid Texas Board of Pharmacy License without restrictions

- Bachelor degree related to behavioral healthcare is preferred

- Valid CPR Certification

- Valid APHA immunization Certification

- Valid NPI number is preferred

- Bi-lingual is preferred

- 340 B experience is preferred

- Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy

*Skills and Special Abilities*

- Experience writing protocols and procedures

- Must maintain knowledge of advancements in pharmacy practice and medications

- Able to precept pharmacy students

- Must be able to demonstrate a patient centered/patient valued care approach

- Can handle customer/patient complaints in a fair and empathetic manner

- Ability to effectively communicate and escalate issues to the appropriate team members for patient-centric resolutions

- Must have innovative ideas and ability to solve complex problems

- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of medical and health care terminology

- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the operation of equipment used in primary practice area

- Follows companies policies and procedures

- Displays neat, clean and professional appearance at all times

*90-day Expectations (to be completed within 90 days of start date)*

- Completion of all pharmacy training modules

- Completion of practical training approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

- CPR Certification (if not already certified and valid)

- At least 2 hours of ACPE approved immunization-related pharmacy continued education

- Completion of pharmacy preceptor certification

*Physical Requirements*

- Employee must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs (if an elevator is unavailable).

- Must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) talk, listen and speak clearly in person and via telephone.

- Must be able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. in weight on occasion (up to 25%).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $75.00 per hour

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
* On call
