In this role you will be a member of the Workday Services Team
overseeing our technical solutions team of subject matter experts
and providing solutions design analysis and architecture support to
the wider Workday program and team, your role and team will grow as
we further deploy and expand our Workday coverage both
geographically and capability.
Reporting to Workday Services Technical Manager this role is
accountable for ensuring that new Workday integrations or
enhancements to existing integrations is designed and solutioned
correctly, with responsibility to ensure all downstream impacts are
captured and planned. You will also be required to manage and
mentor a team of technical solutions architects, integration
consultants and analysts who will provide their skillset across
functional and business teams throughout the program lifecycle for
BAU and project work.
This is an exciting and varied opportunity to establish a team that
can utilise their creative and analysis skills to overcome complex
technical issues helping Workday send and receive data critical to
business functionality.
The Workday Services team provides technical program deployment,
post go-live support and enhancement of the Workday solution that
replaces some of our core technology and influences our ways of
working for many of our colleagues at WPP. This flagship programme
will see Workday deployed across our global landscape to address
the technology needs of Finance, Projects (PSA) and our HR function
- so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree.
The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for
change, it's at the heart of what we do, but it's not all of what
we do. The people aspects of this programme are vital to its
success. This role will help deliver that success on an ongoing
basis for many years to come
What you'll be doing:
Manage Workday integration team including solution architects,
integration consultants & analysts
Manage integration support team and small projects as and when
required
Work closely with the technical manager to allocate resources
across support and project work
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, Workday
functional teams, 3rd Party System Integrators and WPP IT Strategy
& Architecture and Service Management
Responsible for analyzing business requirements and extracting
information of Workday implementation importance
Responsible for the delivery and reporting of Workday technical
integration workstream deliverables
Responsible for the discovery and design of technical integrations
for the Workday deployments and enhancements
Ensuring that technical solution deliverables are documented
including requirements, design and testing requirements
Define and apply governance principles across the Workday technical
solution and ensure design decisions are appropriately reviewed to
ensure they meet the desired business end state and WPP
architecture & security standards
Provide technical support and guidance to the Workday functional
and testing teams
Provide technical governance and guidance to the WPP and 3rd Party
implementation teams to ensure alignment of the developed solution
to the overall Workday solution design.
Ensure developed solutions meet business, technical and operational
support requirements.
Provide architecture support to the WPP Workday implementation and
support teams
Maintain awareness of Workday technology e.g. WQL, Extend
Champion recommendations for continuous improvement including using
technologies such as AI and RPA to give WPP a competitive advantage
through its deployment of Workday
What you'll need:
Exceptional experience with complex interfaces including Workday
API's, Studio
Outstanding ability to design and run efficient robust processes
that provide the right oversight while being flexible to changing
demands
Strong understanding of Workday integration and data
architecture
Experience of solutions architecture and technical requirements
gathering in a complex enterprise environment
Strong ability to lead, inspire, engage, and coach a diverse team
and create an inclusive culture across geographical boundaries
Ability to manage to small projects with business stakeholders in
an efficient and organised manner
Delivery focused, with high energy and drive, and ability to
deliver through others
Strong risk awareness skills and management of risk
Creative solutioning and strong problem-solving skills with agility
for fast and simple solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with superior
presentation and written skills for both technical and
non-technical audiences
Credibility, professionalism and strong personal integrity
Ability to mentor new team members from wide and varied
backgrounds
