Job Description:
Responsibilities
---The Settlements area is responsible for all trade settlement,
processing, and reconciliation
---This position will ensure that all executed trades are settled
accurately and promptly while ensuring the timely reconciliation of
settled cash and resolve any open, unsettled, fails that are for
our settlements
---Reconciliation is to be completed daily to ensure all entries
are accurate and the corresponding accounts are balanced for each
business day
---P&S function is responsible for providing essential services
for completing the trade life cycle and servicing client/front
office needs, ensuring daily market trading activity is compared
with street activity to control and reduce the risk of unmatched
trades
---Team members are required to ensure timely, accurate resolution
of equity & option trade breaks
---Process, review and settle US equity and options
transactions
---Resolve outstanding settlement issues and respond to internal
and external inquiries
---Review fail exposure accurately report to senior regulatory
management teams
---Comply with regulatory requirements [eg Reg Sho, 15c3-3]
---Manages day-to-day department activities
---Analyzes and proposes improvements to automated and manual
processes
---Ensures department procedure documents are accurate and
up-to-date
---Manages procedural exception processing and surfaces "red flag"
exception conditions for escalation
---Identify and propose solutions for addressing control gaps
---Mitigates risk by following established procedures and
monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong
ethical behavior
---What you do (Purchase & Sales)
---Reconcile and report option and equity trade breaks T+1 and
T+2(equities)
---Reconcile all pair off breaks
---Reconcile and report all P&S suspense breaks
---Process all P&S trade corrections
---Monitor OW, ACT, ORF and OCC's Encore system
---Monitor, process and reconcile exercise, assignment and
expiration
---Report stock record breaks
Qualifications
---Ability to balance day-to-day execution of tasks
---Strong written communication skills
---Ability to work with teams and collaborate
---Excellent leadership and managerial skills
---Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to
prioritize tasks
