Job Description:
Brief Description
Provides advanced technical support and administration for new and
legacy applications to resolve Tier 2 requests for a multi-site,
multi-tiered, multiple deployment model system with significant
integration with other systems.
Detailed Description
Analyzes application data flows and identifies the root cause of
incidents. Reviews, analyzes, and documents applications systems &
legacy databases for upgrades, migrations and integrations.
Performs troubleshooting of software issues, refers unresolved
system and application issues to technical staff; documents system
problems and resolutions. Maintains activity-tracking systems.
Provides flow diagrams, organizes and updates application
documentation including knowledge base documents for Tier 1 and
Tier 2 support. Participates in researching and testing of new
software or updated features with other support staff and QA
resources to test and/or validate new application versions, patches
or functionality; executes test scripts; assists in coordination of
new releases; monitors deployment of new releases. Performs other
duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an
accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Business Administration or in a job related field of
study.Two (2) years related experience required. Familiarity with
standard office software, including template/fillable forms
creation including Adobe Acrobat/ Nuance, web browser and
audio/video recording software configuration options and settings
preferred. Prior work experience/familiarity with department
operations/workflow. Must pass a background investigation.Must have
a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record.Will be
required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must
maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with
Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.

have, access to criminal justice databases including the FBI
Criminal Justice Information Systems, NCIC/TCIC and similar
databases, must pass a national fingerprint-based records check
prior to placement in such position and may be denied placement in
such positions and/oraccess to such systems. Individuals must also
maintain the ability to pass the records check while in the
position or until such time that the Commissioners Court and the
County Civil Service Commission deem this position no longer has
this requirement." Standard office environment. Ability to lift and
carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
