SummaryThis position is responsible for maintaining daily
remittance operational functions that support the management of
receivables in accordance with the company's remittance business
practices and policies for all applicable affiliates and customer
segments. The ideal candidate must be familiar with common
remittance and cash application terminology and have an
understanding and ability to take action on remittance process,
including related system interfaces and applications. Ability to
interact effectively with co-workers and customers (internal and
external) is a must. Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Remittance Operations' business
rules, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Timely execution of ongoing remittance activities.
- Assist in performing team quality control for accuracy and
efficiency.
- Recognize, recommend, and contribute to the improvement of
procedures, business rules and processes related to remittance
activities.
- Conduct production line monitoring of oneself and ensure timely
processing of daily remittance related activities (i.e., payment
exceptions and payment inquires).
- Maintain performance tracking (i.e., production workflows,
quality control, etc..).
- Communicate with customers, peers, and management regarding
applicable remittance activity via telephone, email, fax and/or
USPS for special applications outside the standard policies and
procedures.
- Provide support on special projects related to operational
based issues relating to Remittance Operations.
- Interface with other operational organizations to ensure
coordination and cooperation toward customer issue resolution.
- Be a participant in team meetings, town halls, and be compliant
with all company required trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Education
- Bachelor's degree in business or related area from accredited
four-year university is preferred. Experience may substitute for
college education; in which case a high school diploma or
equivalent is required. Experience
- 5+ years' relevant remittance operations work experience with
as many years working in SAP/CCS.
- Knowledge of the utility and/or deregulated energy industry is
a plus. Special Skills/Knowledge Requirements
- Knowledge of Remittance processes and supporting systems
(SAP/CCS), interfaces/channels (EDI, IVR, Lockbox, and Web) and
applications (Paymetrics)
- Strong organizational skills
- Moderate knowledge of Excel and SQL
- Technical acumen is a plus - ability to translate an
operational issue with IT for resolution
- Strong work ethic with a level of honesty and integrity
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work with
ambiguity
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with
teams.
- Capable of communicating in a confident manner with internal
customers/ departments
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to use good
judgment to make recommendations and decisions.
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities; at times
working with a sense of urgency
- Excellent personal computer skills within a windows
environment, including spreadsheets, databases and word
processing.
- Ability to use fundamental math daily (add, subtract, multiply,
divide and calculate percentages).Working Conditions
