Job Description:

MV Transportation is seeking a Return-to-Work (RTW) Coordinator to make sure that employees return to their daily duties as seamless as possible within the Divisions. This includes planning with Division management a list of revised work duties to ease the employee back into their role or an alternative role at the division. When the employee returns to work, they will be responsible for getting a clearer idea of any further accommodations that need to be made to ensure the employee can return to work safely and be placed in a productive role contributing to the workplace while they move toward getting back into their pre-injury role. The Return-to-Work Coordinator is responsible and focused on managing MVT's entire RTW program nationwide.The Return-to-Work Coordinator would also be responsible for keeping the divisions accountable and assist with escalating any issues beyond the MV WC team in keeping the divisions accountable for running an effective Return to Work Program. A successfully ran Return to Work Program is a powerful tool that an employer has to control claims outcomes and indemnity exposure costs.Job Responsibilities and Impact on RTW Program:

  • The Return-to-Work Coordinator will be the centralized person for the Divisions, Injured Workers, and TPA for anything related to accommodation and non-accommodation to confirm entitlement of WC benefits.
  • Obtain and review daily medical work status reports for all injured workers and communicate those restrictions to the divisions to determine ability or inability to accommodate the provided restriction. Communicate that decision of accommodation to the TPA.
  • Coordinate the interactive process with the injured worker for ADA compliance and ensuring that the Modified Duty offer letter is provided to the employee documenting the bonafide offer of modified duties. Coordinate interactive process once an employee is placed off work.
  • Assist divisions with identifying roles that would be fit the restrictions along with establishing a predetermined list of employee accommodations to ease an employee's transition to modified duty work.
  • Liaison between the Employee and Division Management by developing a plan that has been agreed to by the Employee and Division Management before the employee returns to work to help manage the expectations of both the Employee and Division Management to ensure that there is a balance between what the employee is capable of doing while still contributing towards the needs of the division in terms of productivity.
  • Keep the divisions accountable in ensuring that the employees are working in productive roles and repeatedly check in on employees directly and with the division to confirm the type of job duties being performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Upkeep and track the number of exhausted modified duty days exhausted/TTD days for each claim on shared worksheet along with reason for non-accommodation of restrictions.Talent Requirements:
    • Must have a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of Work Comp experience working with return to work programs.
    • Must have a Bachelor's degree.
    • 10 - 20 % travel may be required.During the course of employment, employees may receive and have access to confidential information.
