Brief Overview of Position The CRE Closing Team Lead performs a second level review of loans in the commercial real estate portfolio, administers incoming workflow to the Commercial Real Estate Loan Relationship Associates, handles departmental email requests, manages incoming and outgoing workflow, and ensures final closing packages align with the bank's credit approvals and the bank's credit policy. This is a working team lead role - this position will fill in as necessary and as volume and departmental needs demand.Manage a team of up to 7 commercial real estate loan closers/relationship associatesDistribute all incoming work in a round robin style work environment to ensure the multiple facets of the closing processes are within stated SLA's and within desired closing deadlinesMonitor timeliness/quality of loan documents reviews, as well as provide monthly metrics reporting to managementAssist with closing and onboarding questions as neededPerform Quality Control on all outgoing work to ensure the highest quality work product is delivered to bank clientsWork directly with line of business partners to problem solve and overcome hurdles in the closing processPartner with Credit Risk teams to resolve credit conflicts and to streamline the closing processPartner with various internal teams to ensure a smooth closing, initial funding, booking and handoff to funding processTrain, develop, and mentor new team members Perform all personnel related functions, including applicant interviews, employee orientations, performance coaching and counseling as needed, performance/merit reviews and terminations, as required The duties listed above are the essential functions, or fundamental duties within the job classification.
